How long does it typically take for tCPA bidding structure to pick up? Would've thought it would have spend within the first three days, but spend is climbing very slowly. Install with those likely to complete a mid-funnel target action. Keep in mind it is a new account. GA4 Firebase signals are still building.

Though anything I can do to hit daily spends? Or just let the algorithm learn?

Try to start with an X10 target just to ensure that the campaign spends the full budget during the first days, and then you can gradually decrease it. Starting with a very aggressive target is not a good idea in new accounts according to my experience

Right. At the 10x ratio. It an entirely new account. Are you saying lower or higher the daily spend? It's 6k daily optimizing for Firebase installs at a tCPA of 7.50.

i dont get you sorry - are you spending and generating 6k installs pper day? What I said is basically that you start with a target which is ten times higher than your real target, so the campaign can spend the whole budget every day. Once you get consistent and stable signal volume for a few days, you start to decrease the target gradually.

Ok, so if your budget is 6k per day and your target is $7.50 starts with a $20 target, and then you gradually decrease it. It's important that first the compaign spends, and then you steer the algorithm towards the numbers that you need.

Noted. The issue may actually be Conversion Volume. Firebase Installs are very low. The only one with enough signal to learn (30+ events daily) is Firebase - AppLaunch.

Potential options:

1. Let the Google Conversions populate in the background. Relaunch when signal is strong enough. Will Google Ads populate the Firebase Conversions under Summary even if campaigns aren't running?

2. Going aggressively bidding on Installs, to get Conversions in Google Ads up. Knowing it will be higher CPI.

3. Launch aggressively with App Launch. Again, higher CAC, also doesn’t resolve the install volume.

Any thoughts or perspectives welcome.

Started seeing decent scaling. Built a new campaign. 2k ad spend, tCPA at 70 for in app action. In app action ends up costing $9-10, even though bid is much larger. Thanks for all the insights and sharing.

1. Don't go with CPI campaigns in Google Ads: You will receive very, very bad quality traffic which won't tell you if Google can actually be viable for your app.

2. You just need 5-10 events per day in Google Ads and if you're spending 2k/day after opening the cap to $20, you should be close already

3. Be careful with conversion windows ofc! The longer they are, the less pressure for the algorithm to unlock good quality.
